Book came in perfect condition. This edition is much worse than the previous edition. Problems are either really easy or extremely difficult. There is no middle ground.

I am taking calculus next semester and wanted to find the cheapest and best quality book. I ended up ordering from textbookoverstock and it got to me before the estimated shipping date and was in excellent condition (it was rated as acceptable but it looked like it had barely been used).Overall this has been a great experience and has saved me $100+Edit: the book has flaws but overall its a good calc book. The homework is challenging but its not too bad. It was an integral (get it integral! Haha) part of my calc 1 and 2 and it was easy to get into… Stuart is the standard for calc books so it is good. Just look out for mistakes. I think during calc 1 and 2 I found 3 or 4 mistakes but nothing to extensive.Protip: use Slader.com for help with problems and you 100% do well.

Good quality!

This textbook is fantastic! So much information in one area, I just wish that there were more problems to practice with. I feel like I should be able to fully understand each concept, and I don’t have enough questions here to do so. An easy fix to this is to have the answers to the even problems, which doesn’t exist sadly. What is the point of solving challenging integrals if you are unsure of what the answer is?

Son needed the book for class.
I will think of a clever name later –
This is a good, well-written, and well organized introduction to calculus. It takes a very traditional, conservative approach to the topic, which is fine with me. Lots of examples, many of which will be familiar to those who have looked at other textbooks, and lots of problems to solve. The explanations are generally clearer than those found in most other calculus texts.
The loose-leaf format is nice — I leave most of the pages at home, and carry around only the sections that I’m using in any given week. It’s a big improvement over lugging a heavy book around everywhere. The paper quality is a bit thin.
Be careful about what you’re ordering. “Stewart calculus” is something of a calculus textbook empire, with lots of different versions (single- vs multi-variable, regular vs “early transcendentals”, etc.)

Textbook came in good condition. It is not the greatest as far as content though, there has to be a better calculus book than this. I feel like it left out some important examples.
Shirvan Valley –
It is used for college calculus.

This book was helpful in filling in some of the gaps in my professor’s lectures. It helped me to understand a few fundamental concepts better. The book was very sturdy and physically of good quality.

This is a great book to learn Calculus from the beginning, all of the way to Vector Calculus! Most of the explanations and examples are straight forward and easy to follow. Its chapter on sequences and series is very well done in particular. Chapter 16 is lacking a little in thorough explanation that made more sense to me when I touched it up in my physics course, but overall, I highly recommend this book!
